The brief

Wedding planning at it’s best – Silverlinings specialises in bringing together the best wedding suppliers with couples looking for the right contacts to make their big day special.

They approached Eight Wire to design and build a website that would incorporate a wedding directory of suppliers, a wedding guide, and a list of wedding fairs throughout Cornwall and the Midlands. They wanted to focus to be o user experience and to ensure that optimisation was paramount for visability on search engines.

What we did

We conducted an audit of their existing site, assessing what currently worked and what needed to be improved upon. On the back of this analysis we created wire frames to show the client how we could ensure the site was as user friendly as possible and worked closely with them to ensure that we were creating something that fit closely with the brief.

What happened next

We set about designing a stylish, modern site that had a clear user journey and call to action. We ensured that the site had a strong brand identity and showcased images in a fluid and attractive way. It has video and advanced search functionality, enabling it to be versatile and user friendly for both couples and wedding suppliers. Once the client were happy with all aspects of the design, we proceeded with the build and conduct thorough testing before going live.

The outcome

The client was really happy with the new website. Features such as a favourites list and advanced navigation and search functions allowed them to showcase suppliers in a stylish way, whilst making it easy to use for couples planning their big day. The site was optimised in accordance with the brief to give it maximum visibility in search engines.
