Brand refresh and website design

The brief

Trecombe Lakes had been set up for 4 and a half years before they approached us. Their existing website was built around their holiday pods, but they were planning to launch new, contemporary holiday lodges and required a website that reflected this. They were also considering adding in a booking feature to aid efficiency. As part of this project they felt their brand could benefit from a refresh, remaining close to their current logo but with some refinement.

What we did

We began by refining the existing brand and providing a brand identity booklet for them to refer to. Alongside this work we began establishing the specification and needs of the website. Talking through the user journey and site content with the client, we put together a sitemap and wireframes which would provide a hassle free user experience and meet their goals. Once these had been confirmed we started the design phase – using the brand guidelines we had put together to inform our decisions on colour, style and fonts.

What happened next

A site was designed that was in line with their refined brand and that met their goals. It incorporated the pods and the new holiday lodges as well as simplifying the process of making a booking. After researching a number of integrated booking systems we found one that would work well for the clients needs. This was then built into the site as part of the development stage.

The outcome

The client now has a site that is tailored for their needs. Combining a fresh new look with a clear user journey and an integrated booking system has enabled the client to launch and showcase their new holiday lodges successfully. Continuing on from this we performed some SEO work on the site as well as supporting the client with marketing. This included a social media audit and refresh as well as putting forward a strategic plan and helping with output.
