Bows and Whistles

Logo and branding for Bows and Whistles, PPE and Doggy Chic and design and development of a new website

The brief

PPE approached us to undertake branding and website development. They wanted a brand refresh of their PPE brand, which sells dog training leads and dog collars through retailers, a refresh of their Doggy Chic brand, selling unique collars and leads at trade fairs, and the creation of a third brand and website for their online presence.

What we did

We started by refining the two existing brands, creating logos that were still recognisable to their customer base, but giving them a fresher edge that would help in their pursuit of new customers. We also supported with name research, considering domains that were available to register that also gave the right feel for the customer base. They selected Bows and Whistles, and we set about designing a new brand identity for this online arm of the business.

What happened next

We worked with the client to create a new retail website that integrated Dear Systems software for full stock management. We incorporated the new branding to develop a fully optimised WordPress site that the client can update with new products. We also developed handy marketing assets such as labels and infographics to assist sales, as well as design a print advertisement for use in specialist dog magazines.

The outcome

We designed the client three distinct but complimentary brands for each arm of the business. Their website has enabled them to launch an online business that is thriving and showcases their own manufactured products as well as other carefully selected brands. The artwork we designed is being used to compliment sales too, and the advertisement ran successfully in a number of magazines.
